Job Description

The Director of Engineering - App will lead Shippo's App engineering function, focusing on providing an intuitive interface for SMB customers to manage their shipping needs. This role involves partnering with Product Management to develop roadmaps, mentoring engineering managers, directing software development, and fostering a culture of operational excellence. The position is remote within the USA, with a salary range of $210,000 - $284,000 per year.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience leading engineering teams, including 5+ years managing engineering managers.
• Strong communication skills to guide senior levels and cross-functional teams.
• Expert knowledge of software languages and platforms such as Python, JavaScript, and Go.
• Experience managing monolithic and service-based architectures.
