Engineering Manager

Job Description

The Engineering Manager for the Organizations team at GitLab is responsible for leading a globally distributed, high-performing team focused on developing the Organizations feature. This feature facilitates centralized management of GitLab groups and projects and plays a crucial role in the horizontally scalable Cells architecture. The role involves hiring and managing team members, collaborating with product managers and key leaders, fostering technical decision-making, and participating in agile project management processes.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience managing software development teams, with a strong technical background.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate in a high-performance, remote work environment across multiple time zones and cultures.
• Experience working on foundational features in a complex SaaS environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail, with a focus on delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
